  6. 3D.ASC - (Pseudo-)ASCII version of the above document.
  7. ZED3DPCX.ZIP - Archive that contains the PCX version of the images.
  8. FIGURES.ASC - an ASCII version of most of the pictures of the document.
  9. README.3D - This file.
  10. SIGGRAPH.86 - A short extract of SIGGRAPH'86 about faster Phong shading

  41. WHERE CAN I GET THE ZED3D PACKAGE?

  44. The package is normally distributed on internet. You can get it by
  45. FTPing at the site below:

  49. It _should_ be in the directory /pub/msdos/programming/docs, but I can't
  50. guarantee that because it says in a readme or something that directories
  51. and files can be moved around without warning.

  53. I normally name the package zed3d???.zip, where ??? is the version number.
  54. Example, for version 0.42 beta, ??? would be 042.

  56. If you do not have access to FTP but do have access to e-mail on internet,
  57. you most probably can get it through some FTPmail service. There are a few
  58. listed below. I can't guarantee they will work, but it might be well worth
  59. the try.

  70. You will need to use some decompressor utility that can understand
  71. PKZIP's format (most probably PKUNZIP). Unix users, I know you can find
  72. such a utility, but I don't know where. Unix users can NOT use gunzip to
  73. extract the files from the archive. The gunzip program will only extract
  74. the first file of the archive at most. You need to find some other unzipping
  75. tool that understands the PC PKZIP format.
